App availability changes fast

The information on AppPassport — whether a given app works in a country, which local alternative to use, how payments work, and whether a VPN is needed — can and does go out of date quickly. Governments change rules, apps enter and leave markets, payment rails shift, and VPN access is blocked or restored with little warning.

We are not your only source

AppPassport is a convenience and starting point, not an authoritative or official source. Before you travel, and especially before you rely on any single app abroad, please also check:

• Official government and embassy travel advisories for your destination.
• The app makers' own current availability information.
• Recent, local, on-the-ground sources.

"Last verified" dates

Each app entry shows a "last verified" date. Treat older dates with extra caution — a lot can change between then and your trip.
