  Uber left China. DiDi is the dominant ride-hailing app and has an English interface.

• France🟢Works fine

  Uber works in Paris and major cities; Bolt and FREE NOW are common alternatives.

  Use instead: Bolt / FREE NOW

• Germany🟡Local app preferred

  Uber operates in big cities but mainly dispatches licensed taxis. FREE NOW is widely used.

  Use instead: FREE NOW / Bolt

• Ghana🟡Local app preferred

  Uber works in major cities but local apps may offer better fares or coverage.

  Use instead: Bolt, GeraRide, Yango, Shaxi, GoRide, OkadaMotto, Mijo, Ryde Ghana

• Italy🟡Local app preferred

  Uber is limited (mostly Uber Black in a few cities). Locals use FREE NOW or itTaxi.

• Japan🟡Local app preferred

  Uber exists but mostly books regular taxis and is limited. The GO taxi app is more widely used.

  Use instead: GO / DiDi

• Mexico🟢Works fine

  Uber works well in most Mexican cities. DiDi is a common, often cheaper alternative.

  Uber works in Madrid and some cities but is restricted in others; Cabify is a strong local option.

  Uber merged into Grab in SE Asia. Use Grab (or Bolt) for rides and food delivery.
